Eyeshadow

I'm hunting for the perfect brownish-grayish eyeshadow with just a bit of shimmer in it for everyday wear. Right now I use Covergirl Double Espresso (from the Cafe au Lait eyshadow threesome), but it not quiiite right. I used to work with a woman who had the perfect color, but I can't remember what she'd said it was. Maybe it was MAC.

Anyone have any ideas, store-brand or upscale?
