take life one day at a time
Yesterday i wrote my papa an email. i spilled out all my feelings about everything. School, life...everything. I receieved an email from him just now and i believe it proves that i have the greatest most loving/caring/understanding grandfather ever !
Ashley, Thanks for your letter. I fully understand your problem. I don't have all the answers for life. No one does. But, I have learned a few things over the years. So I offer the following for what it's worth. When you don't have all the answers, sometimes it's best to just react to things as they happen. You have come very far whether you see it or not! You are making your own decisions & living on your own 80 miles from home. I never did that at your age. Your mother never did that. Nany never did that. You have become your own person. The main thing I wanted for you from the start was for you to learn to make your own decisions and be an independant person. Mission accomplished! Now, why don't you simply concentrate on finishing this 1st year of the Dental Hygeine program with as best grades as you can. Get that much finished and at any time later on you can finish the 2nd part even if it's a year or two later. After the picture becomes more clear about other things you can make other plans. Don't try to have all the answers now. Enjoy life! Love, PaPa
