Upon Caito's Request:

1) Total volume of music files on my computer?
4.69 GB

02) The last CD I bought was... [a record...i don't remember what the last CD was.]
The Sparks "Kimono My House"

03a) The last song I listened to before writing this was...
[go ahead and laugh] The Muffs "Kids in America"

03b) Song playing right now:
"The Smallest Bones" Castenets

04a) Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me (no particular order)
The songs I start over when they end:
1. Love My Way - The Psychedelic Furs
2. Jenny and the Ess Dog - Stephen Malkmus
3. In Sadding Around - Jawbreaker
4. Dean's Dream - The Dead Milkmen
5. Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying - Belle and Sebastian

04b) Five albums I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me (no particular order)
The ones that have stayed on repeat the longest:
1. Singles Going Steady - The Buzzcocks (because it makes me think of the good things about ex-boyfriends and reminds me I'm young)
2. If You're Feeling Sinister - Belle and Sebastian (because i bought it in england and i never let it go)
3. Etc. - Jawbreaker (because of Payton; plus, i could never pick an album)
4. Wild Like Children - Tilly and the Wall (because it was the soundtrack to what got it all started in November)
5. Madeline and The Dead Bird (because it was between this The Queen is Dead or Milo Goes to College or Stakes is High and this was the prettiest)

on a lighter note my head hurts, i am about to write another paper about the FCC, there is a radio station in my house, i love everyone that came out, i feel in love with a couple of people this weekend, and now the voice of the community can be can be heard.

We must not let the money makers
The voice takers
Those who control all
Control us

Mobilize, Educate, and Organize
Tune in Tune Out
Ignore the static
Shake the antenna
Wait.
Listen to the voice through the speaker
Is the war over?
Has it just begun?

Stop.
Listen close now
To the sound of democracy
To the sound of liberation
To the voices of the people
Those who cannot be silenced

Transistor
Antenna
Compressor
Monitor
Change the levels
Don’t go to high
We must be heard
We must not be televised

Listen close to the harsh static
The meaning is within
CBS NBC FOX CNN
You don’t own me
I have my radio that will set me free

The voices come through
The message rings true
People have the power to create their own news
The corporations are not our educators no more

Then we were the mouse
So silent and weak
NOW we sit on the mountaintop
No longer to squeak
FOR NOW WE CAN SPEAK

have a brilliant friday. hopefully less dreary than today.
