I discovered, in the elevator just now, that I have a hair on the rim of my ear that is a full 7/8" long (yes, I measured it). I am amazed that it has escaped scrutiny for as long as it must have taken to grow so long.

What's the most interesting (i.e. has an interesting provenance, or is truly bizarre, or has a special significance, or is rare, etc.) thing that you own?

Mine is probably a stuffed cat doll with a velcro-on detachable head that's supposed to be Marie Antoinette that my grandma made when I was in elementary school.

I spent a little bit of time at the State Fair today, wandering around and looking at people and stuff and creatures. I also had a root beer and a corndog, thus completing the state fair experience. I just managed to score a free matched set of Kenmore laundry machines that are only four years old. Now I just have to wait for the next large garbage day to swap them out with my old ones. I really hope the new ones fit... I should get out the tape measure and check.

Edit: They'll fit with a half inch to spare!

Brining chicken breasts before grilling. Very good. Your chicken will be nice and tender and not dried out.
