Productiveish
So, this weekend, I managed to feel relatively productive.
Yesterday, I made these delicious cookies, got materials to make new ground cables for the truck, and participated in the Twilight drinking game (terrible movie) and a couple of very successful rounds of Apples to Apples (awesome party game, especially when not all participants are entirely sober). I managed to cripple Kat with laughter during a round where we played two cards in combination by responding to "Aromatic" with "Pocahontas" plus "Wildfire" and commenting "It smells like hotdogs". Solid win, there.
Today, I mowed the lawn, pruned overgrowing mini-tree things in the back yard, found what looks to be the problem with the truck's grounding system (the cable from the ground bus to the engine was distinctly ratty-looking and coming apart), and adjusted the clutch on the Buell and replaced the recently broken clutch cable retainer with a much more sturdy piece. Seriously, who makes a cable retainer that is subject to lots and lots of vibration out of bent wire? Poor design decision there.
I did have a minor setback, though. I took out the GTO to hit the ATM and give it some exercise, and I didn't realize that the fuel gauge sending unit had packed up entirely. So I ran out of gas and had to do a bit of walking to remedy that, which caused me to miss yoga. D'oh.
Still, a pretty solid effort in the "good weekend" category.
