I've started a couple online forums, mainly for purposes of connecting people. I keep hoping it will save me some work, and people will post their own stuff and talk to each other so I don't have to do it. It always seems to be a challenge getting these things going, though. My forums don't get much use, except for the random people who sign up so they can link their pages, pages that advertise things I can't even figure out. Sometimes they are just a bunch of nonsense. I don't know if they get something for every time someone clicks the link or what. Today I found the forum they are looking for. It's called
QooForum, and it's a revenue sharing forum. It took me a little while to figure out how it works, but once I finally checked the FAQ's, I found that, once someone signs up at the QooForum and posts a minimum of 50 posts, they can start having their ads attached to all the threads they start. Members must be signed up with Google AdSense and can then make money with their posts. The advertisement revenue is shared with the forum members. Not only can forum members learn about and share cool things from all over the Internet - like music and entertainment, beauty and fitness, sports, and more - they can earn some money while doing it.
I really wish those people who randomly sign up for my forums would click on over to QooForum and spend some time there. Maybe then they would actually get some benefits. I just delete them from my forums, and I don't have any way for them to make money.
