My honey and I went out again this week, this time to celebrate our anniversary. Of course, just because it's our anniversary doesn't mean we can't save money, right? So, of course, we used another coupon. This time our coupon was only for 1/2 off a dinner with the purchase of a dinner, but that's better than nothing. We went to a Mexican restaurant this week. I am really amazed at the nice restaurants we have in Mukwonago now. We had really good food, and a pitcher of margaritas. After all, we've been married 21 years now, and we're old enough to drink! So of course we must. It was nice. We ate dinner and discussed dating, in particular I asked him if he could remember if we had any disastrous dates, back all those years when we were dating, before we got married. Neither one of us could think of anything. I suppose that's good, right?
After dinner (I boxed up and brought home half of mine, like always) we went and looked at some cars. Jeffrey keeps looking, trying to figure out what car he would want to buy if he needs to buy one. There's no real need - yet. If Beth gets a regular job and needs to be taking the car on a regular basis, then we just might need one. For now we can make due with the car and the van. I guess it doesn't hurt to look. Then we went to Home Depot and looked at plants. Since we have all those raised beds around the house now, we really need to plant some stuff there. We got an idea of what we might like, but, since we took the car and not the van, we didn't really want to buy any. I did, however, find one I really liked so I bought that one. Now, of course, I can't remember what it is, but I'll read the tag tomorrow and hopefully get it planted. All I know is that I liked the leaves, and the flowers in the picture were a really pretty red.
Then we went to the grocery store again, mainly to get the Popsicles that I wanted to get last week, but they were out of them, so I got a raincheck. Guess what? Still out of them. But they had others on sale so we got those instead - instead of 12 Popsicles for $1, they were 24 Popsicles for $2. Except I wanted the box with the lime, rootbeer, and banana flavors, and they didn't have any of those! Beside popsicles, we bought other stuff too, of course. I also found out that they aren't going to do the double coupon thing on Wednesdays any more. Yesterday was the last day, and I missed it. I was really liking the double coupon days.
So, that's our exciting anniversary date night. Somewhere along the line I mentioned something about us not being very romantic. Jeffrey said that he tries to be romantic, but I'm the one who's not. Maybe he's right.
