Well, things have been busy the past week. Dad's house is getting a desperately needed makeover (our bathroom, patio door, kitchen cabinets, and more things to come. They're planning on taking up rugs and making the family/living rooms one big room). I've been frantically trying to complete my Spanish summer work- finally finished the letter this morning and need to answer two more extended response questions before I'm "done"- didn't fully complete questions on a play, but some of them I can't even answer well in English, so I'm not going to worry about that right now.
Mya went well, Friday night. Took three friends (hey, it's getting popular!) and we had fun, playing LGBT trivia. The group got a check from a church, which was nice, too. I was happy when Davya showed up, but then she had to leave before we got to Starbucks 'cause she had something to do with her parents. I'm feeling really unsure about things with her- talking is so much fun, and so is just hanging out, and she liked the writing that I showed to her... but this week she hasn't been responding to any of my texts. :/ We want to go to the city again this week (and I know how, now!) and I really hope we get to- she has one more Mya, and then she's going back to college... in New York. This makes me sort of annoyed at myself- I keep liking people that I end up having some difficulty with. (Why can't I just find someone interesting nearby and my age? *headdesk*)
But... I have more important things to worry about- school-wise, anyway. I'm going to wait until I can talk with my doctor about it, but I'm planning on emailing my teachers before the year starts, asking them about changing the name and pronouns they use with me. Presenting at Mya is good and all, but if no one else is acknowledging it, it gets annoying, and I also want to see what it feels like, trying to pass at school. I'm a little anxious, and unsure if it's going to be easier on the two teachers I have first that already know me, or the two that don't know who I am at all. And then I'll have to do all this over again for the second semester. *sigh*
This is going to be an interesting year. If the teachers are on board with it, I think it'll be easier with kids that I don't know (or at least not very well, since it seems more people know me than I know), but that's the main worry point. Regardless of how I dress/act, if people see me being called "she" that's how I'll be known. (Of course, my name on work will probably have to stay the same, and I'm okay with that- it's the socializing part I want to be different.) I'll probably be doing this Wednesday, the email. I'll tell you guys how it goes.
Finally... I am exhausted today. My friends "slept over" Friday night- we stayed up, playing video games, talking, surfing the internet... until 7:30 in the morning. Surprisingly, I wasn't tired until that night, and I had only gotten about an hour or so of actual sleep. Slept almost 11 hours last night, so I feel better (and much more relaxed now that my routine's back) but still a little slow. (Also need breakfast soon.) I also asked Kristen what to do about Davya... Since she's going away soon anyway, I guess I could tell her if we go to the city this week. But then if she's okay with it, she's going away and that's kind of unfair, in my mind, to her... and potential awkwardness regardless, especially if she goes to Mya this Friday. So I really have no clue what to do, or what to say- the last relationship I had, the guy asked me. So... we'll see how things go. Oh, how my life enjoys to be confusing. :) Love you guys, and I'll see you later.
