I'm scared of my television. Is that normal?

Three weeks ago, I bought a 32" inch LG LCD TV from Best Buy. Week before last, it started to freak out (setup menu flashing, nothing could be done about it) so I returned it, and even though I was PERFECTLY HAPPY with the 32", I let D and chanel19 convince me it was rubbish and got a 40" Sony. It's so HUGE and LOOMING. I'm seriously worried it may kill me in my sleep, and I'm regretting not getting another 32". If it stays (and really, I'm going to have to stop shrieking every time I glance at it for that to happen), I'm calling it Voldemort.

Just got back from Nags Head, which was fabulous - stayed in a fantastic house with the wonderful company of (among a couple others not on LJ) dianora2, harpinred, chanel19, flamingcarrot, intopolitics, oeliade, and divanoir. It was a very serious week, with daily agendas including viewings of Buck Rogers (:snuggles Gil Gerard), made up swimming pool games with complicated rules (instructional video to follow), and lots of beach time (slathered in sunscreen and under an umbrella, of course). In addition, I suspect the nearby Coach outlet will never be the same.

As an aside, have Doctor Who converted:

Ooo, wouldn't a TARDIS-shaped toaster be just fantastic?
