Although not by the weekend, which was fabulous.
dianora2,
oeilade,
divanoir, and
md1016 all gathered at
chanel19 and
flamingcarrot's house to celebrate
harpinred's birthday, and I had a great time seeing everyone and lounging on the back porch (I'd also like it noted that divanoir and I can down sangria like nobody's business).
No, I'm annoyed by my 27" JVC television, which, at just 5 years old, has apparently died (or the power supply has, if Google results are to be believed). The tv cost just $300, and from what I've seen on the internet, a repair job would start at $100 and go up to who knows how much (assuming I'm diagnosing correctly).
I don't actually have any tv reception. I do, though, watch a fair number of DVDs, and I just got a Wii. I also have a great surround sound system, second-handed by my techie friend, D.
So, poll. Do I:
A: get it repaired.
B: get a flat screen.
C: get a projector.*
C: ditch everything and hook up the Wii to my 20" Apple LCD display.
*D has offered to hook me up, but I think this seems like somewhat of a pain in the ass as my only tv-viewing option.
Thoughts?
