Hello! It's been a long time since I've posted, but I've been reading all along. I've decided to break my posting fast with another invasive question!
While very comfortable, my three-times-hand-me-down thirty year old sofa is looking poorly, and is not of a shape that looks good with a slipcover. I've decided I'm willing to pretend for five minutes that I'm a grown up and considering buying a new couch.
But, there's one slight problem- I've got a cat. She's not terrible, and does prefer her scratching post, but the sofa was well-destroyed by one of the former owner's cats, and she has a hard time resisting not having a go at it on occasion (mostly, I think, to get my attention).
I've found a great sofa that I really like and that is within my budget. It's available in leather or upholstery (they have a heathered-brown velvet that I really like). The leather is of the nice, thick 1930s-club type that is meant to look better a bit banged up.
So, for those of you who have cats and have fought the furniture scratching fight, it's time for another -
Not Really a Poll Poll
A: Get the leather (and why?)
B: Get upholstery (and why?)
C: Are you insane buying new furniture when you have a cat?
Thank you for our thoughts!
