I've just started a new painting class, and it has me wondering about being creative - which means,
as usual, that it's time to bother
you good people.
Regardless of your chosen area of creativity (and I can already see some of you out there smirking; you KNOW what I'm talking about), I'd love to see answers on whichever questions appeal.
1. What's your creative outlet (writing, photography, theatre, painting, knitting, yarn spinning, furniture-building, video-making, costume construction, web design...)?
2. How much time do you devote each week (day/month) to it?
3. In your area of creativity, do you consider yourself a:
*beginner (lots yet to learn; results are often luck-based rather than skill-based)
*intermediate (past the beginner stage with skills yet to learn, but you're feeling good about what you currently produce and your results generally turn out as you expect them to)
*very competent (you're very satisfied with your particular area of creativity)
4. Do you have any short or long term creative goals, and if so, what?
5. Do you or have you in the past made any money from this endeavor? Is it a short/long term goal to do so?
6.Do you consider what you do an art, a craft, or a bit of both (and if you have an opinion on how to define either, because I'm honestly sort of unclear on the matter :)?
I should really answer first, since I'm bugging you all to, but I've got to get back to work - but I'll start off by saying that I'm interested in photography, drawing, painting, and knitting (when I have the time).
Thanks as always for your response!
