So now that I've gotten my visit to Yankee Stadium out of the way during my last vacation in late April/early May, I've decided to make my next vacation an extended weekend spent in San Francisco. As many of you know, Jim Bouton is most famous for Ball Four. He authored a follow-up book to that but more recently, Foul Ball came out, a story going into detail about his efforts to save Wahconah Park in Pittsfield, MA. It sounds like a decent plan, building a destination around a preserved ballfield. It makes me wish other old-time stadiums could have had their fields preserved.

With SBC announcing that they'll use the AT&T name once their merger is complete, does this mean SBC Park in San Francisco will have to change its name yet again (it would be the third name in its six years)? Although the answer is most likely yes, I would hope that they might rename it Ma Bell Park. At least it's somewhat close to the stadium's ( Read more... )

While I'm in New York I'll be going to a Yankee game on the 25th to see them take on the Blue Jays, but I'm wondering what I should do while in Yankee Stadium. Like, what's the best food to get etc. So, if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. Thanks.
