I went out on the deck once I got home at 7:45.  I thought I'd just sit there and see what flew over, but I had barely sat down when I heard hooting and all the cardinals started freaking out.  I spent about 10 minutes watching two Barred Owls flying around back by the stream!  They were so cool looking.  Yay for a lifer in my own backyard.

It's almost 60 today, but a week ago we got 5 inches of snow.  I went out and took some pictures at the stream behind our yard.  Check them out here.

I think I'll work backwards.  First you get pictures of a Japanese maple in our backyard.  Well, technically our neighbors' yard, but we can see it from our deck and the leaves fall in our yard.
