Today I went back for my Flu-Vaccine Study check-up. I had to give another sample upon arrival *urgh!* I didn't know!! So after some dramatic hoping and wishing, I finally managed something, and the marching band music played in my head in celebration haha ( Read more... )

Well the first 5 days have been pretty good. Nothing after that day and a half of terrible sniffles/sneezing/allergy-behaviour... I get to send back the first report card after Easter and then continue to monitor my health for the next 2 weeks until my next appointment. Today I began participation in a Flu Vaccine Study with a medical research company. 7500 people will be tested with the current Flu Vaccine out on the market - it's for reasearch for an American company to make sure they can bring it to USA. How wonderful that today I woke up with the sniffles. And sneezes. I actually went to bed with an attack of the annoying coughs, and thought it would pass once I "wake up" after coffee at work... but it just got worse... like I'd triggered something because I woke up so early and it felt terrible to be up against my body clock. I'm still feeling on & off sick. I get better for a few days, then suddenly there'll be a cold snap in the air, and overnight I will develop a congested head and sore throat from where the cold air has been going in and out... my head is right by the window when i sleep and I can't fully close the window (firstly, because it doesn't close fully ( Read more... )
