(no subject)
In the next installment of the saga of my car, we took the battery back where we bought it and got it tested. It came up as "replace battery," so we got a new one for free because it was still under warranty (but the next one's gonna be pro-rated, apparently). Dad isn't sure he likes their machine because so far every battery he's had tested there has said "Replace battery;" my brother argued that there's a high probability that since you feel the need to get the battery tested it will need replacing. The young guy working there tried to tell Dad it was something wrong with the starter switch going too far, getting stuck, and drawing away the power from the car. Dad said that the power would have come back on differently if that had been the case. I asked if that had anything to do with my headlights flickering; he told me they shouldn't have been flickering at all because at that point the car was running and power was coming from the engine rather than the battery.
In short, my car's now sitting out there with a new battery and the spare tire on the wheel.
In other news, although I was hoarding my ability points on My Heroes, I noticed that Paint Future has changed and no longer gives extra experience, so I used my points to buy "Predict Course of Events," which does give the appropriate status change. (change to breathy fake fortuneteller voice) And I have a vision - of locations within a city.... (return to normal voice)
And that's my update for the moment.
