My cell phone is currently AWOL. Hopefully I will get a new one soon, but Dad apparently lost the paperwork and has yet to print out another copy (it needs to be from his account or I'd print the stupid thing up), and though he'd been saving the old phones, he got mad that some of his stuff got moved around when my brothers cleaned the house, so when I asked him if he could hook one of the old ones up for me he got a bit snippy and told me he would but someone moved them on him. At the moment I'm borrowing Mom's phone, which doesn't have any of your guys' numbers on it (and I'm not going to post any of our numbers on a public entry), but which I can use to call Dad and/or home and/or Mom's work and/or AAA and/or 911 if I have anything crazy happen when I'm driving the car.

So anyway, if you try to call/message/whatever me and I don't get back to you, it's not that I'm purposefully snubbing anyone or anything, it's just that I don't have a phone. I'm wondering if I could get something really basic for cheap at a Verizon kiosk or something and set it up 'til Dad finally gets around to ordering the new cell phones.

I did send a text message from Mom's phone to mine, asking whomever found the phone to call one of three numbers I gave in the message, so maybe someone will find it, see the message, and call. Not that I think I would look at text messages on a phone I found, but I think when you open it it shows the message. And if I found a cell phone in a place where there wasn't an obvious place to turn it in, I'd try looking at the contacts and call "Home" or "Mom" or "Dad" or one of the speed dial numbers, I think.

Anyway, it's about bedtime, so enough with my newest saga.

never a dull moment, saga of my missing cell phone
