The knitting is not going well. I keep ending up with extra stitches and I don't know how to fix this without starting all over. I have knitted for five days now and I don't have enough to make a thong for a mouse. I have one row. One row, that as of now, has the correct number of stitches. I might be going back to class on Thursday with less done than I had when I left class last week. I tried wine and knitting last night for the first time. It did not improve my skill in any noticeable way. I am really very frustrated.

I am having some sort of issue with my left hand. My little finger has been getting numb on and off for the past week. Yesterday it started being numb all of the time and it kept waking me up last night. I told my manager this morning and have yet to hear back from him. They will probably send me to the dreaded "Hand Doctor". It is quite the racket they have set up, many times it turns out that you have nothing wrong whatsoever with your hand. They send people back to work the day after surgery to type one handed. It smacks of third world "health care". I can probably get this Doc to take out the random bullet or two with out reporting it.

Oh this is great... just got a response back from my manager. I reported the problem to him and asked if I should see a special doctor or just go to my regular doctor. Generally they send you right to the Hand Center. I know this, but we have to generate the proper paper trail for everything we do here and I was just starting the whole email chain. This is the response I received:

??? You should always see your primary physician for any health related issues initially to determine if there is a problem. You may also want to contact APIC if needed.

So now he thinks that I am a retard that will probably start asking him gynecological questions at any moment. What a troll. I need to get to work while I can still sort of control my finger. My immediate supervisor, under Troll Boy, is going to look into the matter for me. We were both of the opinion that this was something that workers comp was supposed to look into.
