Sweet Sweet Rejection!
So I got the last of my college letters back on Thursday. Yup, Colgate rejected me. Oh well, what are you going to do? I think it might have been my essay, probably not my best work. The Colgate specific essay that is, my generic college essay, which I posted back in January is freaking amazing, especially since I wrote it in my sleep over a year ago. So just think of how I am now, a year later and awake! I'm ready for college, that's what! Boo-yah!
Anyways, it wasn't too surprising concerning Colgate because it was over 8,000 applicants for about 700 spots. Yikes. Rounding out the eight colleges I applied to, Bucknell wait listed me, so I said "Screw it, plenty more where you came from." I especially love how both of these colleges waited until the last possible day [March 31st] to let me know about their decision. Bastards.
In addition, it kind of scares me that whenever I leave the Syracuse area, it takes some one about less than an hour to make y'all, who I've known for a few years at least, look like a collective bunch of assholes. Just something to think about. In time, I may even come to enjoy it.
