Summary: Having been through a very bad incident in her past turns her into a mentally shaken woman. No one knows how she ended up like that. No one can’t find out what has happened to her because she is unable to communicate. Her life is a dead-end without a way to turn back, she is stuck inside a ward. Until one day, a man named Akanishi Jin passed the ward she’s been living in. Keeping a questionable past as well, the man decides to help her. Will he be her way out from the dead-end?

At the supermarket, Jin snatches the car key from Koki before running like crazy to reach the car as soon as possible, leaving Koki who is shouting “JIN!” with a shocked face. Everyone will have the same reaction as Koki if your friend suddenly snatches the car key then running away without telling you anything.
As he runs, he doesn’t even care about his surrounding anymore. He knows Koki will be angry at him later because he has made such a commotion at the supermarket, but he simply doesn’t care. All he has on his mind right now is Kame.
He finally reaches the car and starts igniting the engine. He doesn’t even bother to breathe properly after all the running. Kame’s call and her tremble voice when calling his name is enough to set him on panic. He doesn’t know what happened at home that makes her like that, but he knows that he shouldn’t have left Kame at home. He won’t do that again.
There’s a lot of tourist at this season, people who don’t live in this area are coming to the beach. They’re practically stranger. What if there’s one of them who tried to rob their home? Pretending to be a customer or something. But they have nothing precious at their home, even their cafe is only a modest cafe. People should know by just passing their property.
Then what if someone was trying to molest Kame? It’s usual for the tourist to get drunk at the beach and start to become really aggressive. Nevertheless, it seems not the right time to get drunk, the sun hasn’t even set yet. Frustrated, Jin almost hit garbage can at the side of the road. He must not being careless, he must drive fast and safely because Kame is waiting for him at home. From the trembling and shaky voice Jin heard from the phone, she must have been crying.
After what feels like an eternity to the worried Jin, he finally arrives at home. He gets off the car quickly and dashes inside the cafe like a madman. Inside the cafe, he finds two men sitting leisurely at one of the table. Thinking that the two men must have done something to Kame, he sees red.
Jin approaches and grabs one of them, who is looking at Jin with nervous expression. “What did you do to Kame?!” he shouts to the man’s face.
Seeing the panic face of his friend, the other man moves to hold Jin’s hand, trying to calm down the situation. “We didn’t do anything to her. Can you release him first? So we can sit and talk.” The other man says. Jin then releases the man with anger before looking around to find Kame.
After being released, the man coughing while pointing to the stair direction. The other man adds, “If you’re looking for her, she’s on the second floor.”
Jin immediately runs to the second floor after hearing that. He opens the bedroom door and walks inside to find Kame. There, he finds Kame curled up at the corner of the room. She’s hugging her knees and hiding her face, shoulder moving up and down, obviously crying hard. She’s exactly on the same position with when she freaked out after meeting Koki for the first time.
Jin comes closer to her as he calls her name softly then pats her shoulder gently. Kame looks up and stares at Jin’s face like a lost child before throwing herself to Jin’s embrace. She hugs him tightly and crying hard on his shoulder.
“shhh.. calm down baby.” Jin comforts her as he rubs her back gently. “I’m here now.”
Kame tightens her hold on Jin and crying even harder.

After 10 minutes, Kame’s cry has finally subsided. She’s calming down now. She’s sitting on Jin’s lap, still being clingy to Jin, burying her face on his shoulder. She acts just like a baby.
“What did those men downstair do to you?” Kame only shakes her head at this question. Jin asks again, “Then what did happen?” as he rubs her back soothingly.
Kame takes a deep breath before answering Jin’s question. “They..he..called me Kazuya..” the name sounds like a whispers coming out from her mouth.
Kazuya? Jin starts wondering if that name is her real name. “What did happen after that?” He continues to ask her.
“Nothing..” Kame says while shaking her head weakly. “I was just suddenly feeling scared so I ran to this room after that.” She starts sobbing.
Jin rubs her back again to calm her down. “shh..it’s okay, it’s okay.”
As he keeps rubbing her back to soothe Kame, he heaves a deep sigh. His mind wander to those men downstair. What does it mean? Do they know Kame? Are they Kame’s acquaintances? Is there any possibility that one of them is ‘Ryo’? Several questions keep running on his mind.
Few minutes after, Jin decides that he should talk to those guys. If they really have a clue about Kame then he must dig for some important information. “Kame, let’s go to meet those men downstair.”
Kame only shakes her head. “We’re just going to meet the guest, I promise nothing they won’t do anything to harm you. We need to talk to them, probably they’ve mistook you as one of their friend.” Jin persuades Kame to go downstair with him.
Kame doesn’t move. “Kame.. Come on, I will always be on your side, ok?”.
Now Jin and Kame are sitting side by side with the two guys in front of them. No one is talking. Kame is only looking down at her lap while the guys seem don’t know where to start.
Jin clears his throat before finally start talking to break the silence between them. “I’m sorry for my harsh action to you earlier.” He says to the guy he has grabbed.
“Ah..it’s okay. I guess we’re at fault too because we came in even though the cafe is still closed.” The guy says.
“Yeah.. we apologize.” The other guy adds. “Anyway, I’m Taguchi Junnosuke.” Says the guy, smiling brightly to Jin as he offers him to shake his hand.
“And I’m Nakamaru Yuichi.” The guy who’s been grabbed by Jin says. As Jin looks at his face more thoroughly, the guy actually has a very awkward expression and doesn’t look like someone who can easily hurting other people. Jin honestly feels bad for shouting at him earlier.
They’re not the ‘Ryo’ guy. Somehow it relieves him, or perhaps disappoints him, either way he introduces himself too. “I’m Akanishi Jin.” He shakes the smiling guy’s hand.
“And she’s..” He looks at his side, Kame is gripping her skirt tightly. “She’s my girlfriend, Kame.”
“Kame?” The guy named Taguchi asks then looking at his friend with confused face.
“Don’t you know us?” Nakamaru also asks her.
Kame takes a glance at both of them as Jin covers her right hand with his left hand, assuring that he’s there. She shakes her head lowly.
“So, Taguchi-san, Nakamaru-san, why did you call her ‘Kazuya’?” Jin ask the guys.
“Just call me Junno by the way. Anyway, we have a friend who looks like her.” Junno starts to explain.
“Yeah.. her name is Kazuya. Kamenashi Kazuya.” Nakamaru add. Junno nods at what Nakamaru says.
Jin looks at Kame who still looking down at her lap. “If you don’t mind, could you tell me more about this friend of yours, Kamenashi Kazuya?” he asks.
Junno and Nakamaru looks at each other. It’s Nakamaru who starts the story. “This Kamenashi Kazuya is our junior in our working place..” he says as he keeps looking at Kame. “We’re nurses. Kamenashi Kazuya is our junior at one hospital in Tokyo. She is quite close to us. She’s a nice person, very patient and so diligent. She and your girlfriend..... looks very similar to each other.”
“Where is she now?” Jin becomes more curious.
“Unfortunately, we don’t know.” Junno answer and pause for seconds before saying, “She’s gone.”
Jin sees that Kame tightens her grip on her skirt. Jin gulps. “What do you mean by she’s gone?”
Heaves a deep sigh, Nakamaru continues, “She’s gone. About a year ago she suddenly disappeared without any trace. Hospital staff checked her apartment and she wasn’t there.”
“What about her family? Didn’t they looking for her?” Jin asks.
“There’s no info about her family. Despite being a nice girl, she’s very closed about her private life.”
Jin braves himself to throw the next question, “so, what about.....her husband?”
Kame’s grip on his left hand tightens, silently telling him to stop. But Jin won’t stop. They need to know about this.
“Husband?” Nakamaru frowns, he and Junno look at each other after hearing Jin’s question. “As far as we know, she’s still single.”
JIn releases the breath that he’s been holding unconsciously. Then who’s Ryo and the baby she had always talking about? Jin asks on his mind.
“I’m sorry.. But do you know someone related to her whose name is Ryo?” Jin voices out his curiosity.
“JIN!” Kame suddenly shouts and stands up.
Jin grab Kame’s wrist, signaling her to sit down. “Kame, let’s listen to their explanation.”
“No! I don’t want to hear it!” Kame’s still standing up and trying to wriggle from Jin’s grip.
“Come on, Kame. We need to know about this Ryo guy.” Jin persists.
“Jin! It’s enough!” Kame swats Jin’s grip on her wrist and runs to the second floor. Jin doesn’t follow her, he only look at her retreating back.
Then they hear the sound of the door being slammed harshly before Jin starts asking again, “I’m sorry for that, so do you know Ryo?”
Nakamaru and Junno feel quite surprised by Jin’s act. They don’t really know what happen to Jin and Kame but in normal circumstance, Jin will run after Kame, right? He is her boyfriend, right?
“We don’t know him.” Now it’s Junno who talks. “As we said before, Kamenashi Kazuya was very closed about her private life.”
“He’s probably her boyfriend.” Junno continues, saying it nonchalantly. Beside him, Nakamaru nudge him with his elbow, silently telling him that he should’ve been more sensitive.
Several questions start popping up on Jin’s mind. So Ryo isn’t Kame’s husband but her boyfriend. If that’s so, what about the baby.. Jin wonders if Kame has a baby with his boyfriend. Then where is the baby now? With Ryo? Or Ryo had taken the baby from Kame which caused her depression?
Deep in thought, Jin doesn’t hear Nakamaru and Junno that have been calling his name. “Jin?” Junno calls him once more in louder voice that shocking him.
“Oh.. sorry.” Jin apologizes.
“Is she Kazuya?” Junno asks him and then looking at Nakamaru too. “She looks a lot like Kazuya. No, she has exactly the same face and features as Kazuya.”
Jin gulps. “I don’t know.” He answers a bit hesitantly.
“Then who is she? What happened to her?” Junno keeps asking.
Jin heaves a deep breath before starting his explanation. “She has a problem. She can’t remember her past.” Or more precisely, she doesn’t want to remember her past, Jin add on his mind.
“Amnesia?” Nakamaru asks.
“I’m not sure. Doctor also can’t help.”
“Severe depression? Trauma?” Jin only nod at Nakamaru’s question.
“But she could also be not Kazuya.” Junno says which earns him sharp look from Jin and Nakamaru. “Well.. Kazuya might have a twin, right? Who knows? She never told us anything about her family.”
Twins? This idea has never crosses his mind before. If Kame is really Kazuya’s twin sister then everything will back to zero again. And then there’s Ryo. He’s still a mystery Jin has yet to solve. Ryo could be Kame’s husband, they could’ve been married with a baby.
Jin is confused. Too many possibilities of Kame’s identity that currently floating on his mind.
“You better come to Tokyo. Take Kame with you and let her check by herself whether she’s Kazuya or not.” Nakamaru suggests. “She probably would remember something if you take her to Tokyo.”
Tokyo? Should he come back to Tokyo again? It’s been three years since the day he left Tokyo. Gulping, Nakamaru and Junno look at him confusedly.
Just then the door’s bell chiming followed by several cursing and noises, interrupting Jin from his reverie.
“Damn you, Bakanishi! Bakanishi! Help me!” Koki comes in, his hands are full with several plastic bags full of groceries. Jin approaches Koki and help him to carry some of those bags.
“Bakanishi! You stupid! You left me at the supermarket to buy all these groceries and took the car with you! Dammit!” Koki’s sweating and keep cursing Jin. Riding a bus while carrying those heavy plastic bags is so tiring. Moreover when the bus is fully packed. Koki’s definitely going to murder Jin if he didn’t give him explanation.
When Junno and Nakamaru also come to help him with the groceries, Koki notices that they have guests. “Oh wow.. we have guests here.” He says with a surprised tone as he let Junno and Nakamaru to help him. Then he sit on the stool near them, his legs are sore and he needs to sit down.
“Where is Kame-chan by the way?” Koki looks around when he notices that Kame isn’t here. He hears Jin muttering “Upstairs.”
Koki’s sense something is not right only by looking at Jin’s face. “What did you do to her?” He asks Jin fiercely.
“I... She...” Jin can’t answer.
“Jin!” Koki barks, clearly starting to get really impatient with his behaviour.
“They are friends of Kamenashi Kazuya.” Jin suddenly pointing to Nakamaru and Junno.
Koki who is ready to pester Jin more about what did he do to Kazuya freezes for a fleeting moment after hearing that name. “Kamenashi Kazuya..” He turns his head to Nakamaru and Junno. “Kame?” He asks Jin.
“I don’t know..” It’s all Jin says.
“Jin.. I think you should talk to Kame-chan.” Koki advises. He continues when Jin only keeps silent. “You’re supposed to be the one who understand her the most. It’s impossible for me or them to console her.”
“I agree. I think you should talk to her.” Nakamaru approves of what Koki’s advice. “If you need to ask us more or planning to go to Tokyo, you can contact us.” Nakamaru and Junno give their cards to Jin before bid their goodbyes and walking out of the cafe.
Nakamaru and Junno are walking side by side in silence. They’re still confused with what has just happened at the cafe. It’s never been in their imagination that they’d ever meet a person that look really similar to Kamenashi Kazuya.
“Don’t you think it’s strange?” Nakamaru breaks the silence between them. “Do you really think that she’s Kazuya’s twin?”
“I don’t think so. Kazuya doesn’t have a twin, does she?” Junno asks back which gets no answer from Nakamaru. Then it’s silence again.
“Yuichi, do you think Jin is familiar?” Junno asks again after few minutes of silence.
Nakamaru makes a confused expression after hearing that question, “Familiar?”
“Yeah.. I think I have met him before.” Junno explains.
“Huh? Where?”
“I don’t remember but he’s really familiar to me.” Junno persists about Jin’s familiarity to him while Nakamaru is just looking at him with confused looks. “Should we go there again and ask him?” Junno asks.
Sighing, all of the events today exhaust him and now Junno is starting to make him really confused and even more tired. “Let’s drop this topic, Junno. Just wait until Jin call us. Too many problems today. We came here for holiday, remember?”
Junno only shrugs then they walk away to beach.

Jin opens the bedroom door, he sees Kame laying on her side on the bed. Sighing deeply, he walks closer to the bed then kneels beside the bed to talk to her. But right after Jin kneels beside the bed, Kame rolls her body to another side, giving Jin her back.
“Kame.. let’s talk.” Jin’s tone is almost pleading but Kame is only silent. “Kame, don’t do this to me please.” He try to persuade her again, yet Kame keeps unmoving.
Jin sighs. “Are you angry with me?” He asks again after sitting at the edge of the bed. Still no answer from Kame. “I know you are.” He ruffles his own hair before continues talking.
“Look.. I know you are angry with me, I’m so sorry. But we need to dig informations as many as we can.” Jin rubs Kame’s arm. “They might know something about you. It’s important for us.”
Kame sits abruptly, swatting Jin’s hand from her arm and looking at Jin with what look like a mixed between angry and sad expression. “For us?! It’s for you, Jin! Only for you! For your own satisfaction!” She snaps.
“Kame..” Jin wants to hold her hand but she swats it again.
“I don’t care about my past Jin. I don’t care! My family neglecting me. They never try to find me! Which part of that you don’t understand?”
“But Kame.. Ryo is..” But Kame cut him before he finishes his sentence.
“Whoever that guy is, he’s obviously not on my side when I need him! He’s not the person who support me when I’m at the lowest point of my life.” Tears threatens to fall from her eyes. “I don’t need him but you, Jin..”
“Kame, your past is not something to be afraid of, nor something you should throw away. You have to face it.” It pains him to see Kame like this but she needs to know about her past.
“We have talked about this, Jin. I don’t need my past.” Kame hugs Jin. “I just need you, Jin. Just you. No one else.” She whispers to Jin.
Jin hugs Kame back. The he says something that give Kame a shock. “Let’s go to Tokyo, Kame.”
Kame detaches herself from Jin’s embrace immediately and looking at Jin with wide eyes.
“Let’s face it together.” Jin declares.
Kame shakes her head, completely astonished by Jin’s act. “All this time, I thought that you understand me, Jin. But it seems that I’m wrong.” Tears falls on Kame’s right cheek is something Jin witness before he sees her dashing out from the room. Jin tries to run after her but she already slams the house door, ignoring Koki who calls her and asking where does she want to go.

“I’m sorry.. But do you know someone related to her whose name is Ryo?” Jin voices out his curiosity.
“JIN!” Kame suddenly shouts and stands up.
Jin grab Kame’s wrist, signaling her to sit down. “Kame, let’s listen to their explanation.”
“No! I don’t want to hear it!” Kame’s still standing up and trying to wriggle from Jin’s grip.
“Come on, Kame. We need to know about this Ryo guy.” Jin persists.
“Jin! It’s enough!” Kame swats Jin’s grip on her wrist and runs to the second floor. Jin doesn’t follow her, he only look at her retreating back.
Then they hear the sound of the door being slammed harshly before Jin starts asking again, “I’m sorry for that, so do you know Ryo?”
Nakamaru and Junno feel quite surprised by Jin’s act. They don’t really know what happen to Jin and Kame but in normal circumstance, Jin will run after Kame, right? He is her boyfriend, right?
“We don’t know him.” Now it’s Junno who talks. “As we said before, Kamenashi Kazuya was very closed about her private life.”
“He’s probably her boyfriend.” Junno continues, saying it nonchalantly. Beside him, Nakamaru nudge him with his elbow, silently telling him that he should’ve been more sensitive.
Several questions start popping up on Jin’s mind. So Ryo isn’t Kame’s husband but her boyfriend. If that’s so, what about the baby.. Jin wonders if Kame has a baby with his boyfriend. Then where is the baby now? With Ryo? Or Ryo had taken the baby from Kame which caused her depression?
Deep in thought, Jin doesn’t hear Nakamaru and Junno that have been calling his name. “Jin?” Junno calls him once more in louder voice that shocking him.
“Oh.. sorry.” Jin apologizes.
“Is she Kazuya?” Junno asks him and then looking at Nakamaru too. “She looks a lot like Kazuya. No, she has exactly the same face and features as Kazuya.”
Jin gulps. “I don’t know.” He answers a bit hesitantly.
“Then who is she? What happened to her?” Junno keeps asking.
Jin heaves a deep breath before starting his explanation. “She has a problem. She can’t remember her past.” Or more precisely, she doesn’t want to remember her past, Jin add on his mind.
“Amnesia?” Nakamaru asks.
“I’m not sure. Doctor also can’t help.”
“Severe depression? Trauma?” Jin only nod at Nakamaru’s question.
“But she could also be not Kazuya.” Junno says which earns him sharp look from Jin and Nakamaru. “Well.. Kazuya might have a twin, right? Who knows? She never told us anything about her family.”
Twins? This idea has never crosses his mind before. If Kame is really Kazuya’s twin sister then everything will back to zero again. And then there’s Ryo. He’s still a mystery Jin has yet to solve. Ryo could be Kame’s husband, they could’ve been married with a baby.
Jin is confused. Too many possibilities of Kame’s identity that currently floating on his mind.
“You better come to Tokyo. Take Kame with you and let her check by herself whether she’s Kazuya or not.” Nakamaru suggests. “She probably would remember something if you take her to Tokyo.”
Tokyo? Should he come back to Tokyo again? It’s been three years since the day he left Tokyo. Gulping, Nakamaru and Junno look at him confusedly.
Just then the door’s bell chiming followed by several cursing and noises, interrupting Jin from his reverie.
“Damn you, Bakanishi! Bakanishi! Help me!” Koki comes in, his hands are full with several plastic bags full of groceries. Jin approaches Koki and help him to carry some of those bags.
“Bakanishi! You stupid! You left me at the supermarket to buy all these groceries and took the car with you! Dammit!” Koki’s sweating and keep cursing Jin. Riding a bus while carrying those heavy plastic bags is so tiring. Moreover when the bus is fully packed. Koki’s definitely going to murder Jin if he didn’t give him explanation.
When Junno and Nakamaru also come to help him with the groceries, Koki notices that they have guests. “Oh wow.. we have guests here.” He says with a surprised tone as he let Junno and Nakamaru to help him. Then he sit on the stool near them, his legs are sore and he needs to sit down.
“Where is Kame-chan by the way?” Koki looks around when he notices that Kame isn’t here. He hears Jin muttering “Upstairs.”
Koki’s sense something is not right only by looking at Jin’s face. “What did you do to her?” He asks Jin fiercely.
“I... She...” Jin can’t answer.
“Jin!” Koki barks, clearly starting to get really impatient with his behaviour.
“They are friends of Kamenashi Kazuya.” Jin suddenly pointing to Nakamaru and Junno.
Koki who is ready to pester Jin more about what did he do to Kazuya freezes for a fleeting moment after hearing that name. “Kamenashi Kazuya..” He turns his head to Nakamaru and Junno. “Kame?” He asks Jin.
“I don’t know..” It’s all Jin says.
“Jin.. I think you should talk to Kame-chan.” Koki advises. He continues when Jin only keeps silent. “You’re supposed to be the one who understand her the most. It’s impossible for me or them to console her.”
“I agree. I think you should talk to her.” Nakamaru approves of what Koki’s advice. “If you need to ask us more or planning to go to Tokyo, you can contact us.” Nakamaru and Junno give their cards to Jin before bid their goodbyes and walking out of the cafe.
Nakamaru and Junno are walking side by side in silence. They’re still confused with what has just happened at the cafe. It’s never been in their imagination that they’d ever meet a person that look really similar to Kamenashi Kazuya.
“Don’t you think it’s strange?” Nakamaru breaks the silence between them. “Do you really think that she’s Kazuya’s twin?”
“I don’t think so. Kazuya doesn’t have a twin, does she?” Junno asks back which gets no answer from Nakamaru. Then it’s silence again.
“Yuichi, do you think Jin is familiar?” Junno asks again after few minutes of silence.
Nakamaru makes a confused expression after hearing that question, “Familiar?”
“Yeah.. I think I have met him before.” Junno explains.
“Huh? Where?”
“I don’t remember but he’s really familiar to me.” Junno persists about Jin’s familiarity to him while Nakamaru is just looking at him with confused looks. “Should we go there again and ask him?” Junno asks.
Sighing, all of the events today exhaust him and now Junno is starting to make him really confused and even more tired. “Let’s drop this topic, Junno. Just wait until Jin call us. Too many problems today. We came here for holiday, remember?”
Junno only shrugs then they walk away to beach.

Jin opens the bedroom door, he sees Kame laying on her side on the bed. Sighing deeply, he walks closer to the bed then kneels beside the bed to talk to her. But right after Jin kneels beside the bed, Kame rolls her body to another side, giving Jin her back.
“Kame.. let’s talk.” Jin’s tone is almost pleading but Kame is only silent. “Kame, don’t do this to me please.” He try to persuade her again, yet Kame keeps unmoving.
Jin sighs. “Are you angry with me?” He asks again after sitting at the edge of the bed. Still no answer from Kame. “I know you are.” He ruffles his own hair before continues talking.
“Look.. I know you are angry with me, I’m so sorry. But we need to dig informations as many as we can.” Jin rubs Kame’s arm. “They might know something about you. It’s important for us.”
Kame sits abruptly, swatting Jin’s hand from her arm and looking at Jin with what look like a mixed between angry and sad expression. “For us?! It’s for you, Jin! Only for you! For your own satisfaction!” She snaps.
“Kame..” Jin wants to hold her hand but she swats it again.
“I don’t care about my past Jin. I don’t care! My family neglecting me. They never try to find me! Which part of that you don’t understand?”
“But Kame.. Ryo is..” But Kame cut him before he finishes his sentence.
“Whoever that guy is, he’s obviously not on my side when I need him! He’s not the person who support me when I’m at the lowest point of my life.” Tears threatens to fall from her eyes. “I don’t need him but you, Jin..”
“Kame, your past is not something to be afraid of, nor something you should throw away. You have to face it.” It pains him to see Kame like this but she needs to know about her past.
“We have talked about this, Jin. I don’t need my past.” Kame hugs Jin. “I just need you, Jin. Just you. No one else.” She whispers to Jin.
Jin hugs Kame back. The he says something that give Kame a shock. “Let’s go to Tokyo, Kame.”
Kame detaches herself from Jin’s embrace immediately and looking at Jin with wide eyes.
“Let’s face it together.” Jin declares.
Kame shakes her head, completely astonished by Jin’s act. “All this time, I thought that you understand me, Jin. But it seems that I’m wrong.” Tears falls on Kame’s right cheek is something Jin witness before he sees her dashing out from the room. Jin tries to run after her but she already slams the house door, ignoring Koki who calls her and asking where does she want to go.
