This morning around 5:30 my uncle called and said the Dr. said to get up to the hospital.  So I skipped work today and when up to the hospital.  As of 5 this afternoon, she was resting peacefully, so hopefully that was just a false alarm, although we do have protocols in place should she crash...which hopefully she doesn't do ( Read more... )

Grandma is currently in the ICU for pneumonia and sepsis. So far her vitals are fine although her white blood cell count is still higher than what the doctors would like. Please send positive vibes to her and our family. Thanks.

Last week I went to a luncheon where Beverly Jenkins was the keynote speaker.  As soon as she saw me, she gave me a large hug and was genuinely pleased I was there.  She called me a surprise.  Now, I went in expecting her to be surprised and pleased to see me, but the genuine happiness with which she’d greeted me took me aback in a good way.  I ( Read more... )
