Yesterday we went shopping at a store that has carts with double seating capacity, we placed both children in the seats. It was Serenity's first time sitting in a cart. While that might not sound like such a big deal, it requires her t onot only be able to sit up, but to be able to do so in an at least fairly stable manner.
Julian was thrilled to have her next to him. He helped her stabilize when she wobbled. She was ecstatic to be sitting next to him, and kept reaching out to touch him. Julian appreciated all of the attention, and set about entertaining her throughout the shopping experience. It was so nice to have two happy kids as we accomplished our grocery shopping!
I know all parents can relate to the difficulty of shopping with young children...it is so boring for the kids! I was so pleased with Julian's interactions with Serenity that I made sure we stopped to purchase the Wii game he has been requesting since December.
He came home so excited and willing to help out in the whole bed time process, even though he was overtire (we got home about an hour after we usually put him in bed). I am so proud of my little guy!
He is growing up to be quite a nice person! YAY!
