More people have to do it~
That's what I thought when I saw that the mods have added a South American tag. I'm not going to join the theme post thingy this time... I only like to contribute to the new bakebakebake tag. Incidentally, I was also feeling summery and inspired from the barrage of Brazillian travel specials from Discovery's Travel and Living Channel and next-door-uncle gave us a whole hand of ripe plantains. I found these excuses reasonable enough to get my butt off the couch and head to the kitchen to whip something to whet my plantain craving.
I never thought I'd encounter a flavor combination that is peculiar and wonderful as the Brazillian cartola. Just letting the name swim in my head prompts a background music of soothing flowing bossa and sultry vocals seductively whispering/singing in Portuguese. Do I hear the opening lines of Garota de Ipanema now? :D
(As with my other posts, you could click the preview pic to be directed to the blog entry and full recipe :D)
Cozimento feliz, bakebakebakers~

Looks like crème brûlée but not... or maybe I cooked it too much?
Hmmm... I could always say the brûlée finish is a matter of preference, haha!
