Cookie in a cupcake: UPDATE

I issued a request the other day for ideas to help me get a crunchy cookie bottom cupcake for a Twix-inspired cupcake. Well, BBB delivered and this is the result!






I pressed shortbread dough into the bottom of the cupcake liners then baked for a few minutes. While it cooled I made vanilla cake batter then put it on top. The cookie stayed crunchy on the bottom. It made a really interesting texture contrast with the soft cake and creamy icing.
After that baked and cooled I filled it with caramel.



I didn't make my own caramel because I saw this can of goodness at the grocery while buying some salsa verde. This is what I filled my cupcakes with.



I made my standard chocolate buttercream but I still had a bunch of leftover ganache from the fundraiser I baked for and whipped that into the choc buttercream. Oh. Mah. Goodness!!!!!!!! After tasting it, I did this:
