Fighter practice today, yay! Hampton had me try fighting with secondaries for the first time; I tried buckler and then dagger. I like buckler a lot better; dagger just confuses me!

Well, the pre-war preps got kind of dramaful, as my truck decided it didn't want start, or continue to run, on Monday. Ack. But, thanks to my dad who donated heavily to the "war wagon" effort (btw, Happy Birthday, Dad!) we managed to start out only half a day later than we'd planned. Sweetie's got everything sorted out with the fighter card sitch, so he's good to go for Crown.

Anyway, I've got to get back to work on the ToD now; he found me crashed out at the sewing machine last night and dragged me off to bed.

Sweetie's been looking forward to fighting in Crown for months and now, a WEEK before the tourney, they tell him there's a problem and he might not be able to fight. His fighter card has a different SCA name on it than the one he's using now.

Same legal name. And there's been no problem with him fighting in any of the other 5 tourneys he's ( Read more... )
