From Randome houseVol 1: Boy craxy
Joshi High is an elite school that most girls in Japan only dream of attending. Then one day everything changes-the all-girl school goes coed. There’s just one catch: The girls outnumber the boys. So begins a wild, no-holds-barred competition for the boys of the school. Which smart and independent-minded girl will rise above the fray?
Vol 2: HERE COMES THE BRIDE?
The fake relationship of nerdy Rise and hunky Azusa is losing credibility, leaving Azusa at the mercy of the boy-crazy female population! Luckily, Fiançailles, the school’s annual mock wedding ceremony, is fast approaching. All Azusa needs to do is convince Rise to participate, but she’s been spending a little too much time with the broodingly sexy Akamaru!
Vol 3: YOUR CHEATING STOMACH
After a mock wedding, the students of Jyoshi High finally seem to have accepted Rise and Azusa as a legitimate couple. But lately Azusa seems strangely low on energy. Could it be that he’s been up all night-on dates with other girls? Meanwhile, Akamaru takes this chance to get closer to Rise!
Some points:
- borrowed from ILL.
- I guess I was a bit curious about it since I've read some reviews.
- Volume 1's blurb is from Amazon.
- I was wondering why Del Rey licensed such a risque series.
- Not only the girls are scary, boys can be catty, too. Yikes.
- The French has up to volume 9 I think, the whole series is 12 volumes completed. I'm not sure if I want to get all 9. Maybe the last 2 to see how things resolved? Not sure.
- There are something that I'm curious about, like the guy on cover #2, not sure if he's interested in the heroine or not!
Bottom line, very mature series.
16b. 2 volumes of Cat Street (キャットストリート, Kyatto Sutorīto).

Some points:
- Loosely translated: Keito Aoyama is a young girl of sixteen who has left school and hardly ever been out of her house for seven years. Driven by her parents, she was a baby star, linking advertising and entertainment. At nine, she was chosen to star in a hit musical and shares this role with Nako, a girl of her age who just started this job. Keito, who had no friend so far, is pleased to meet with Nako and does not hesitate to teach him everything. But when Nako is at the top, she abandons Keito. The little girl is paralyzed, betrayed by her best friend, she is unable to go on stage or back to a normal life.
Until she met a strange director who opened the doors of its very special setting. No fixed course, teenagers can come and go as they please ... With new meetings and his reunion with an old boy in her class, Keito will gradually open up to others.
- It's interesting that the Japanese covers seem more serious than the French ones which look a bit light hearted. I should mention that the japanese covers are used for the back cover of the french but different color (i.e., green for the first volume instead of red ...)
- After finishing Boys Over Flowers, I immediately found out other series by the author and found this one in French. I started to collect the series without sampling them and let them collect dust for the last year, then I got the last volume and now started to read them.
- The start is a bit slow, but once I got to the middle of the first volume - when Keito met other characters, things start to pick up.
- She already grew a bit in the first 2 volumes.
- I like how she handles her disappointment in love with a good cry then a brave face.
- It's funny at times :) Some of these kids are socially awkward.
- I like the way the author tells the story and her characters are great.
- This series is only 8 volumes much shorter than Boys Over Flowers. At the end there is an explanation about Keito's condition Hikikomori.
- I hope that it will be licensed in English. She also has another series called Tiger and Wolf - Tora to Ōkami - 虎と狼 that also sounds interesting. I hope that series gets licensed.
Bottom line, onward.
