Summary: Ianto knows better than to file his colleagues’ reports without checking them first.

A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto had quickly learned the advisability of checking the rest of the team’s reports before making copies and filing them in all the necessary places.
There were seldom any problems with Tosh’s paperwork, she liked to be thorough, but Owen’s often contained barely legible handwritten notes and addenda, added to the printed copy as an afterthought, and his spelling left a lot to be desired. Funny how he was perfectly capable of spelling complicated medical terms but always got there, their, and they’re mixed up.
Gwen’s reports tended to be sparse on detail, just the facts, a habit from the police force she needed to break. Speculation and personal theories were encouraged in Torchwood, where so much was unknown and could only be guessed at.
Jack went merrily in the opposite direction, not just facts and speculation, but a wide array of exaggerations and embellishments, most of which had little, if anything, to do with actual events. He had a vivid imagination, but official reports weren’t the place for creative fictions, not when they might mislead future Torchwood agents looking for answers in a potentially world-ending crisis.
Still, Ianto saved the best ones; maybe someday Jack could write a book.
