“Oi! Teaboy!” Owen bellowed across the Hub. “More coffee!”
Ianto, who happened to be busy at his computer station, bidding on objects of alien origin on ebay, spared a moment to glare across at the medic.
“I’m not your personal servant, and I’m busy. If you want coffee, you’ll either have to wait or go to the coffee shop across the Plas.”
“Why should I spend my money on coffee when we employ a teaboy to do all that stuff?”
“I’m not the sodding teaboy, Harper! I’m the archivist and general support officer, I only make coffee so I don’t have to drink the instant swill you lot considered acceptable before I joined the team. Now shut up and let me concentrate, because if I get outbid for these Vindrexian slave bracelets and some innocent person decides to wear them and loses their hands as a result, you can explain that having your coffee craving satisfied was more important to you than them keeping all their parts.”
“Whatever,” Owen snarked. “Just don’t take all day about it.”
Ianto placed his bid with seconds to go, and won. “Owen?”
“What now?”
“Get your own coffee, and in future, try saying please.”
