The Spectre #44

Feb 22, 2007 08:05

DC Comics
1996

A well-intended issue with a feminist message gets bogged down in stilted dialogue and inconsistent characters, particularly Madame Xanadu, who comes of as hopelessly indecisive here. Meanwhile Nathan Kane gets a brief trip back to the Salem witch trials in a scene that was actually better than I thought it would be. Still it’s not enough to save this story.
