mission completed. christmas shopping is underway.
christmas shopping is the single most fulfilling, rewarding and fun experience ever.
on thursday night, shouna came to pick me up and we went to the mall. we encountered many things, such as spending limits, uncooperative bank machines and funny sales guys. i bought my dad and jamil their presents. then we went on a quest to get food before skating.. we ended up eating taco bell and getting her mom burger king. nothing beats wolfing down fries supreme and tacos in the dressing room 5 minutes before stroking class.
aaron isn't as bad as i thought he would be, he's really funny and nice, and very technical. i just hate switching coaches for any reason, and i've always had duane. i hope and pray linda comes back soon so i can stop having lessons with pam.
friday was fun and productive. downtown trip with nichole and nikki. i bought some stuff for james and ashley. we just did a lot of walking around and talking. a sephora opened in the eaton centre, which is pure awesomeness.
why do people start shit when they have no back? i don't understand. if you don't have back, don't push your luck, especially with the wrong people. that results in getting your case dealt with in the worst of ways. i know i push my luck. but if for whatever reason something happens, i'll be fine. that's not always the case out there. watch yourself, sometimes things can be prevented.
the insecurity seems on the surface, but it's so much deeper than that. insecurities are based on acceptance. they're not trying to change to be cool and someone they're not. they're looking for someone to accept them, and let them know that it's okay for them to be who they want to be. that someone will be there. i never understood that before, but now i do. my self confidence comes from my family, and the friends i've had. you can't change me because of where i've been and what i've experienced. i've been fortunate to be have the love, attention and the material things that i have. some people have the material things, but not the love & attention. thus making a shallow person, because they don't have any values, and equate love with money. just love and attention makes someone appreciate the material things that much more.
