all in a (half) day's work

Apr 24, 2010 17:11

I'm tired, but it's a good kind of tired.

* The family room has been rearranged, vacuumed, and dusted.

* The family room walls are free of crayon and scuff marks thanks to the Mr. Clean's magic eraser.

* The cat is sporting bright blue soft paws on her front feet

* Groceries have been bought

* Supper (times two!) has been prepared.  Lasagna assembled with whole wheat noodles, three kinds of cheese, freshly cooked ground beef, sauteed fresh mushrooms, onions, diced carrots & celery, tomato sauce, and even some leftover pumpkin!

* The dishwasher has been fed and watered, although the pots and pans are still waiting for some love.

* The washer and dryer are humming along nicely, and I already have one heaping basket of towels and clothes to put away.

* I gave Charlotte a kid-sized butter knife and she "helped" slice mushrooms for the lasagna.  Then she used the hand broom and dustpan to sweep up the bits that hit the floor.

* There is a pile of boxes, bins, and bags that are waiting upstairs to be taken to storage, or dropped off at donation locations.

And I will sacrifice my own plans for the evening, and take Julia to see "How to Tame Your Dragon".  Julia will be pleased :-)  When we get home, Kim and her friends should be starting "Avatar", which I will half-watch while I do some scrapbooking layouts :-P

..... and that concludes my afternoon update.
