Jack and Kim managed to keep everyone fed and watered, but there are things that only I notice need to be done, so I am puttering around the house putting things back in order. We went out and bought groceries too, staying in the produce department for a long time to refill the fridge and fruit bowl with good food. I fear that until September my house will sadly neglected since I will be doing my best to finish school and then I will be busy getting Kim and Julia ready for a new year of school too. The dust bunnies and grungy corners have been given a stay of execution. I do want to get Julia's room changed around a bit to make room for Charlotte's bed or a borrowed crib. Eventually we'll get bunk beds for them but not for another six months or so, or when we move.
Now are you ready for some pictures?
Julia and Charlotte checking out the new books I brought home.
What happens when mom goes away? The fruit bowl holds a bowl full of chips. It's now overflowing with bananas, apples, and grapes.
Julia made these hearts for me :-)
Julia tore into her box of Barbie cereal; something we can't get here at home
(as far as I know)
I believe we have a new member of the family. This is Gossip, a cat from the shelter where Kim volunteers and she has been "Kim's cat" for a very long time. We agreed to let her foster the cat for a while but I have a feeling she is staying. And yes, she has hot pink toenails.
