50 shades of gray

Yesterday afternoon we took the girls to free public skating from 5-6:30. Hockey is Law around here and public skating happens only when there isn't a hockey game or practice, so the hours are often inconvenient. We picked up Chinese food on the way home and then settled in to watch a movie once the girls were in bed.

I ate too much supper and took my tummy ache to bed before Jack finished a movie. Honestly, climbing into my big comfy bed is one of the best things about being at home.

Today I have to go back to the city but we have a busy day before I leave. First I need to go pick out new paint. My sweet husband painted both upstairs bedrooms a light gray color called "a' la mode" but when I got home to see it in person, it definitely looks like a light lavender color. Jack doesn't mind the actual painting, but the expense of wasted paint is annoying. We also will order the carpet today. We're trying to only do improvements that will help sell our house at a good price, and we should be able to list it in April, exactly 13 years after we bought it.

Now, back to bed for a couple more hours before it's time to shuffle kids to school.
