Finally home, listening to music and eating leftover pizza. Canadian Healthcare test this morning, and an afternoon of coaching on how to counsel with empathy. *eye roll* Role-playing with an audience of my peers is just really awkward.
Anyway, several of us met with the director this afternoon to find out if we'd passed our exams and OSCE's and to know if we were being fast-tracked or not. I was certain I'd failed my final exams, but I was wrong! I got 83% on my finals (75% is a pass) and I scored in the top 25% of the class in the OSCE's. I certainly didn't ace everything, but I more than passed and I'm good with that. I was so relieved, and yes, I'll be in the fast track stream, thank goodness! This means that I'll be able to leave Toronto for good by November 15th and start my clerkship in Saskatoon as early as December 1st.
I had another tidbbit of good news today (that isn't mine to share ;-), spent some time with 5 other women in the program at the end of the day, ate birthday cake, and I'll soon be ready for my pj's. With three exams next week and a lit review due in just over a week, I'm going to head to the university library tomorrow morning with my laptop and books. One more week and then the pressure is off and I can finally relax for a little while. I've almost made it!!
