a glimpse through the windows tonight
* washer and dryer are both working the night shift
* 3 pre-teen girls with a mess of blankets behind a closed door, watching "Coraline"
* a plate of leftover bean and cheese quesadillas chillin' in the fridge for Jack's lunch tomorrow
* Toopy and Binoo on the tv, David Guetta and Adam Cohen on the iPod. Perfect.
* one restless little girl on the couch with her own blankets, booted out of her room by 3 ten-year-olds (and still awake, thanks to a late afternoon snooze on my lap)
* Jack already asleep between freshly washed sheets and duvet. His day starts about 5 hours before mine does.
* purring black cat stretched across my knees
* hard copy of SOGC postdates blabberty blabber + sexy Sharpie pen = scrawled notes in coil notebook. Doing it old school tonight.
* wet sidewalk chalk, damp bathing suits, cheese string wrappers on the back step, and grass tracked through my kitchen. The girls had fun this afternoon.
* supper dishes: ignored.
