We took a day over the weekend to visit Nashville. We got pretty lost, so we did not spend much time in the downtown area. We did visit the Parthenon in Centennial Park. This started as an exhibition at the world’s fair held there in 1897. It was intended to be temporary, it was popular. Instead of using it as an exhibition for artwork, as originally used in the exhibition, it was decided to construct a full scale model of the Parthenon, including using the Elgin marble casts to reconstruct the pediments.

So tomorrow, we go to yet another campsite. This is a small private one, and they don’t have Wi-Fi either, but the owner thinks I can pick up just down the block. I hope so, as I would like to get online more than once a day. The house moving has been pushed back to the 23rd, so it will be at least another week before we can move in while the house gets the electric and sewer hookup. The electrician gave us an unbelievably high number to connect and put in a box and sockets, he is supposed to be emailing me the quote so I can take a look at it.
I had such a nice gift from a friend of mine, I’m floored that she was so generous to me. Hopefully one day I will be able to return her kindness.

Well Wi-Fi is still at the library, so I still have to drive into town. I’m so excited, as a lab owner that I had called and sent a resume called me for an interview for Monday!!! I’m glad I was in town, as my phone is totally dead at this campsite. I also got another call for verification regarding a customer service position. I’m not holding too much hope out for that one, as nothing happened after the call last week.
I don’t know what happed with the electrician, as the quote included digging a trench for the line, which is something we did not want. He wouldn’t be able to do it anyway as it is solid shale going up to the house. He is supposed to call us back, and that should knock a bit of money off the estimate.
Wish me luck with the interview!!!!
