We had a setback the other day. We had some pretty torrential rains, and although the locals say it was unusual, we now know this happens. Most of the work that Charlie did on the lower driveway was washed out. He got another large conduit, so now there are two, and had to put another load of crushed gravel down. Now this all needs to be sealed up with cement. Eventually, it looks like we will need to build some sort of a small bridge there, as a small stream passes under it. It was an extra expense to our budget that we did not plan for.
The campground is now pretty empty, which is nice. I arranged for another camp on the other side of the river for the week of 16th-24th. We might have to add a few more days on to that, but as far as we know, the house will be there on the 20th. Even though it will be small, I am excited.
I decided that I need to make a sacrifice. I’ve been working with Ganesa to remove obstacles to me finding a job. I’m going to sacrifice the cigarettes. They are white, which he likes and it is a good time to do so, as they are expensive while money is so tight, plus it is really starting to get to me. When we go into Nashville, we will also visit the Parthenon there and I will lay some flowers at Nike’s feet.

I got a phone call last night from one of the agencies I have working with online for a customer service position. They are forwarding my resume and qualifications to the employer. Hopefully a break will come my way as we are starting to run low on money. Maybe if push comes to shove, I can borrow money from my daughter. Charlie’s mom has been sending us some money, which has helped, so we don’t want to ask her for more. I know things will work out, but we are getting down to the wire.
