It's now November, it's snowed a few times here, it's cold, but it is still raining, ugh! I went home for Fall Break because campus shut down and very few people were still here.
Grades here don't really seem fair from what I, and others, have observed based on SAGES and our chemistry lab, in both of which, I'm recieving C's. I could understand if my results of papers really sucked, but they really haven't. I have a C in Cog Sci, and I'm actually thankful for that grade, and a B in chemistry (the course, not lab) which I can easily raise to an A. I'm failing calculus, so either I'll get it up to a C or I'll drop the course nearer to the end of the semester.
I've considered transferring many times, but I don't think anywhere would be any better, you know what I mean? I do, however, feel I would be doing better in a less prestigeous university, and, again, I'm not alone in this sentiment. Everyone here feels that no matter how well they do, it's never enough, except Hoan, but that's because he doesn't even try and gets A's (he took most of these classes that were more advanced while in high school). Oh well, other than that things are going well. Except SAGES, which most definitely sucks even at its best, I would banish it far beyound the 8th circle of Hell if I could. For those outside of CWRU (Case Western Rerserve University), that means Seminar Approach to General Education and Scholarship, it's an overglorified English class taught by random professors and awful writing instructors who are graduate students: in my case, my professor is from the chemical engineering department and my writing instructor, whom hates me, is a student in French. She knows so little about proper grammar and everything, e.g. she didn't believe "healthful" was a word and insisted that I use "healthy" to describe something that was affecting the condition of health of the person.
I nearly just bit my tongue off a moment ago, and I am still chewing my gum, yes, I'm stupid...
I'm really bored, so send me some love!!!!
