I have to get to Brookline District Court tomorrow morning by 10:30am and I'm trying to decide if it would be better to drive there, or take some form of public transit.

If I drive, will parking be a bitch?

If I take the T will it be a pain in the ass?

So I'm pretty new to the Boston area and I've managed not to park my car in the city ever. Tonight I have to work until 2 am near Copley and my options to get back to Cambridge are to either take a cab, drive my car, or wait til 5am and take the T. I live in the Mission Hill area (bottom of the hill, Brigham Circle area) and I need a car to get to work. I'm trying to weigh my options as far as parking, because it's currently registered in NJ (I also have a NJ license and insurance). I'm going to the Bruins game for the first time tonight.  I'm feeling supremely lazy and want to drive instead of T-it.  Anyone have any ideas for good spots for free street parking, or at least a cheap, somewhat close garage?

I live in Allston, in a neighbourhood with no permit-only parking. I have recently noticed that people are taking to sticking random crap into curbside parking spaces with the intent to reserve them. I sympathize with people wanting to save a spot they shovelled out for themselves, but is this sort of thing common practise? Is it some fad that ( Read more... )

Gotta go to a meeting by Post Office Square and i really don't feel like spending $25 to park at the garage... Any ideas on where to park in the area? I will be in there around lunch so maybe i will get lucky! =)

I also may just take the t to Govt Center and walk it.

Any advice?
