Our living room is no longer ours any longer. It has been taken over by the smallest, yet most vocal member of the family. The behavioral specialist suggested we get a climbing structure for him because of his current behavior patterns. I was going to get one of those little cubes with a slide, but Anne had other ideas. I sometimes think that having a child has taken over our lives. I don't consider this a bad thing, as my father has said to me several times, raising child(ren) is the most important thing in a parent's life. Xmas 2009 is fast approaching and I am looking forward to xmas day with Ramsey and Anne. I am proud to say that we bought Ramsey only a few things and actually bought several items at yard sales. Ramsey turned 2 on Saturday. We marked the occasion with a party at my sister-in-law's house in Warwick. I have to admit that I sat down at the computer because Ramsey almost always asks to nurse when I'm sitting in this chair, and he hadn't asked since prior to the sun rising (already nixed the night nursing, he often continues to ask around 3:30AM). Our lil guy is sick again. He woke up from his nap yesterday with a fever of 102.7 and a bit of a cough. It went down with tylenol, though went back up a bit a couple times when he needed another dose. I brought him in today because he didn't sleep well at all last night. I have to bring Ramsey back for more testing. He didn't respond to the high tones, but I question the validity of the test since the high tones weren't as loud as the low tones (either that or I had trouble hearing them too!). I am supposed to de-sensitize him to head phones in the next month so that they can test him with more accuracy. I ( Read more... )
