This week was drained every bit of energy and happiness from me. Thank God for the Sabbath.
I overslept almost everyday until Wednesday or Thursday when I decided to turn my alarm on again
The AP tests are next week. THE tests that determine whether we get college credit for them. I’m not too concerned about English. It’s all reading/multiple choice and writing. I’ve discovered that writing three prompts at a time works a lot better for me than having ONE that I don’t understand but I have to write, RIGHT now. APUSH and the EOC are a different story. All of us are freaking out a little bit because in class, we got from the discovery of America to 1900 but the test is mostly on the Civil War to the present. So just about everything we really need to know for the test, we have to learn on our own… and that’s easier for some people than others. But it will all be over soon… and whatever happens, happens.
Prom is Saturday the 7th. I’m so excited. I have a hair appointment Friday afternoon, my dress comes out of alterations Tuesday, I’m discussing the fine details with my different prom dinner/after party groups, and everything is working out. I know at least one other person from school has my dress, but I’m too busy to be bothered by that anymore. I still need a strapless bra, purse, shawl, shoes to accommodate my possibly broken/sprained toe, makeup, and nail polish to match my dress (because a violist paying for a manicure is pointless)
Jesse and I played the big dance performance last night. I didn’t think either of us played extraordinarily well, but everyone else was happy with it so I didn’t care. All of the girls were SO amazing. I had no idea that RaShonda, Arlene, Erica and the other girls could dance like THAT. I really liked the long piece at the end of the program. I met Tavian (Rashonda’s little boy) last night too! He’s SO big that I didn’t believe that was him! You know, even though I’ll miss all my senior friends, jesse will be one of the hardest ones to say goodbye to. I’ve learned so much from being in his shadow all these years. I really don’t think that I would play like I do now if I had never met him.
Class elections were yesterday too. I felt bad, all of our old officers got voted out. I voted for Michael, Eric, Nick, and Allison. I was kinda torn between Allison and Kristen because Allison is a friend of mine and Kristen is just so darn pretty, but I didn’t know what either of them stood for or who would be best for the job. I was sitting next to Mi Son and she voted for Kristen, so I voted for Allison.
My crazy schedule for the next few days:
Sun-YO dress rehearsal at UTC
Mon-final YO performance/AP English test
Tues-pick up dress
Wed-STUDY!
Thurs-History EOC
Fri-APUSH test/hair appointment
Sat-prom!
Sun-Lisa’s recital
woe is me....
