Thank you so much for creating a vid for me! I love fanvids and love receiving creative gifts, so I love this exchange and missed participating in it while my vidding software hated me. So please be assured, chances are whatever you make for me will be ADORED.
I think I covered most of my requests for the specific fandoms in my sign-up, so I'll reiterate them but probably not add anything. But since I know I was a lot more vague on the music requests, below the cut is just a list of several artists I enjoy to give you an idea of just how BROAD (and shameless in some cases *g*) my tastes are. You can go with one of the mentioned artists if you want, but you don't have to. The ONE thing I would ask you to scrupulously avoid is any metal song with death growls in it. I love certain genres of metal, but that is one feature that just...sounds so silly to me that it makes it impossible to take the song seriously. If that makes sense?
Oh. Also, it should be noted that I have a thing for songs from movies/TV shows/musicals. Half my CD collection is soundtracks. I'll include a few of those as well.
Belle (2014)
Anything exploring Dido's relationship with her family, especially Elizabeth, her relationship with John, or her struggle to define herself in a world where she doesn't fit an easy mold would be awesome. I'd ask for something with her and Mabel too, but they shared so few scenes together I don't think that's practical. If you do decide to go for the defining herself option, though, I'd love an exploration of how Mabel and the contrast between her and Dido factors into that.
Clue (1985)
Favorite characters are Miss Scarlet and Professor Plum, although the entire cast is amazing. My favorite ending is the one where everyone did it (except Mr. Green). I love the frenetic pacing, the snappy dialogue, the sheer slapstick over-the-top-ness of it all. Which basically means pretty much anything for this fandom would make me happy. *g* (And if you're really ambitious, I would not say no to a crossover video using clips from the 50s scenes of the Back to the Future trilogy--maybe juxtaposing Doc and Plum--but that is obviously not a requirement. *g*)
Doctor Who (1996)
Okay, so pretty much the only thing I really LIKE from this movie is Paul McGann as the Doctor and the design of the TARDIS, so ideally I'd love something focusing on that. :-) If you wanted to incorporate "The Night of the Doctor" too, I would not say no!
Eastwick (TV 2009)
I would love something focusing on the trio, or on the female relationships in the show (ie: not just the trio but also Joanna/Penny and Roxie&Bun, Roxie&Mia, etc). That said, I love Darryl too and he is more than welcome to appear, I just don't want it all about him to the exclusion of the ladies. I 'ship Kat/Roxie/Joanna, Joanna/Penny, and Kat/Roxie/Joanna/Darryl.
The Librarians (TV 2014)
I love the whole cast but my favorite characters are Eve, Cassandra, and Jenkins. I don't have any strong feelings about 'ships right now. There's a few I enjoy, but I'd prefer character studies (especially of the ladies) or general cast/team videos at the moment. Season 2 looks like it's going to be amazing, but you can incorporate it or not depending on how easy it would be for you to do so. :-)
Misfits of Science
I have not seen this show in YEARS (not since it was in reruns on the Sci-Fi channel in the 90s), but I have fond memories of it. Favorite characters were Gloria and Johnny, and I think I 'shipped them but can't remember for sure. Gloria-centric, Gloria/Johnny, or ensemble would all be great. Um, and this is a long shot, probably not very easy to do, and obviously not a requirement...but if someone *wanted* to make me a crossover vid 'shipping Gloria with Marty McFly (and using footage from Family Ties to show 'them' together when they're older), I would not be unhappy. *g*
Quantum Leap
Favorite character is Al. I love Sam and Al's friendship but do not 'ship them. I *do* 'ship canon--Al/Beth and Sam/Donna--and I adore both Beth and Donna as characters as well. So anything Al-centric, Al/Beth, Sam/Donna, or Sam&Al (as long as the music/editing don't skew too romantic/sexual) would be awesome. General explorations of the series, something about the ladies (Beth, Donna, Verbena, Tina, etc.), AU/Fix-it videos for the series finale, etc. would also be welcome! Basically whatever inspires you!
Supergirl (TV 2015)
I have seen the leaked pilot and LOVED it. I adore Kara, of course, and James and Alex. And I fully anticipate adding Lucy Lane to that list of favorites. In terms of 'ships, I think I'll most likely wind up 'shipping Kara/James (because I 'ship Kara/Jimmy in the comics) with a possible side of Kara/James/Lucy, but I'm not married to anything yet except that I *don't* want her with Winn. Also, I don't do incest. But any of the following would be great: Kara-centric, Kara and Alex's sibling relationship, Kara/Jimmy, Kara/Jimmy/Lucy, Kara/Lucy, any of the previous three as friendship, or just a general series vid.
