Good morning! I have no made progress in the
Sugano Indexcarding pursuit, as all I can do now is wait for my supplies to arrive from Japan. However, I did buy something that Sugano has recommended as a tool-- a changable stamp with the date! It's such a simple item, but it's ridiculous how much joy I get out of using it. It's self-inking so I don't have to worry about using an ink pad. I can't stop myself from stamping the date on everything! I think every kind of paper on my desk must have the date stamped on it now. Earlier this morning, I even date-stamped a tissue!
Unfortunately, the stamp can get messy as you progressively use it-- the ink will cover dates that you are no longer using, and might accidentally touch when in use. My next goal for the stamp is to find a small case for it so I can carry it without worry of inking everything in my bag.
Some of you might know that lately I am really into a program called
SketchUp. I'd like to shamelessly plug this program because it really is so wonderful for what I'm doing. It is similar to AutoCAD-- but it
is not. It is easier, the interface is more intuitive, and you can create things at a very fast pace. You can make mock-up 3D models of spaces by tracing floor plans and lifting the lines into new dimensions!
I won't talk too much about this room, but here is an example of something I made in SketchUp in only a couple hours! It is an exact replica of a room on campus, furniture and all!
If you're doing anything from event planning to even decorating your room, this program is so handy!
