I wonder how concerned I should be that I had what seemed like a cold this morning and now it has devolved in shivers and sweats and a 101.5 degree temperature.

How does one even get a cold in the middle of September? I have no idea. I guess I contracted whatever has been keeping Britt sick for the last week or so. One of my co-workers told me that's what happens when you kiss boys. Oh well, totally worth it ;)

Ahhh, I slept pretty much straight from 7:00 last night until 2:30 this afternoon, interrupted only by a few phone calls. It was glorious. Nyquil kicks ass. No more fever, and I'm not really sniffly or coughing now either. Just a sore throat. I'm even considering showering and going to the Oscar watching party at beatl23's. For the first time, I had a weekend fully planned with hanging out activities. Instead of doing those things, I'm at home on my couch trying not to hack up my lungs. Being sick sucks. I'm also supposed to be at the government center at 8:00 AM to volunteer at a high school mock trial competition. I think I'm going to have to go to bed soon...

Ugh, I've had a headache and queasy stomach since about 6 tonight. I laid down for an hour and felt better, but when I got up to see Britt off, the headache came back. I hope I'm not getting sick. I don't have time for that this week. Way way too much work to do.

I've only been up for half an hour, but my chest already hurts from coughing.

I got up this morning super early and dragged my tired ass to the Hispanic Heritage Awareness Month breakfast at the Trade Center downtown. My boss had purchased a table for the office, not realizing that it fell on our day off. Yes, we get Columbus Day off, since it is a federal holiday. So I was there at 7:30. The breakfast wasn't bad.
