Molly and I got sworn in today at the Superior Court of Richmond County in front of my parents,
lil_sis_alli, and my old boss Jack and his wife, who is now one of my bosses at GLSP. It was fun. I almost got a little choked up saying the oath. It's cheesy and idealistic, but it means I'm a real lawyer now with obligations and duties. Yikes. The other person being sworn in also works for legal services, but in New Jersey. But it was kinda cool that we were all legal services folks. My parents took us to
The Bee's Knees (which I've been to before) for lunch then to the Sunshine Bakery for dessert. It was fabulous. I may post pictures later but no promises. I think all the ones taken with my camera are too blurry.
Nearly hit a deer on 85-South on the way home. I started to brake, and I instinctively reached out my right arm. I always do this, I guess trying to prevent the person next to me from flying too far forward. I dunno. I did it. Molly reached out too, and for whatever reason we grabbed hands. Total movie moment. After the deer passed and we kept going, I asked why we grabbed hands. Neither of us knows. Go figure.
I saw Monster House tonight at the $1.50 theater. It was really cute. This next week The Last Kiss and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest are playing, neither of which I've seen. So, I may go see those. It's only $1.50. w00t!
