How well should we try to know our partners, or let them know us?
Imagine you were given a truth serum and made to tell your other half all the things you deliberately haven't told them. Supposing you never actually did anything that would be considered disloyal in practice... have you cheated on them in your thoughts? Ever? What dirt would you have on yourself.
If they really knew you, would they be able to bear being with you?
Would they?
I'm not suggesting I have something serious to get off my chest. I just wondered if it is a good idea to let someone in as much as you can, as much as they say you should. Or if there always needs to be an element of tailoring your personality for the person you wake up next to every morning.
Doesn't it strike you as odd how you can spend your life with someone on the surface but your minds are two different worlds with a tiny overlap.
