[The feed clicks on to a face unfamiliar to most of Axiom Nexus. He's in a stark, industrial lab. Banks of ultra-speed processing computers surround him, blinking and humming. Behind him, a large logo on the wall reads 'Simultron: the Finest in Virtual Entertainment

What kind of memories do you believe you are missing?
Reply
...rather important ones. Ones that could be misused if in the wrong hands.

What do you keep plans for weapons of mass destruction in your memory files or something?
Reply
Actually, more like experiments whose data could be misapplied in the wrong hands. Very, very misapplied.
[They already had been, in the creation of Monstructor. Jetfire had been trying to undo that.]

Sure, ain't anything classified. Before I came here I was in another dimension; seems like I... lost part of my paintjob when I went from my own to this other dimension, an' I can't actually remember what it was, exactly, an' I didn't notice it until I got here. [Cliffjumper tilts his head to consider the mech--- hey wait.]
Jetfire? [Of course, probably not the one he knew, but...]

...another dimension before this one, you said. [No! No, Jetfire. Don't get distracted. This is important.]
[Blink.] Yes. Oh, yes. I'm Jetfire. [He forgets that he's been watching the network for almost a year, but has kept his silence until now.]
[Because now was really important.]

...Jetfire? [...Wait there are several of those around now.]

It's good to speak to you. I wish it were under better circumstances.

And it is good to hear from you, despite the situation. When did you get here, and what point in time did you loose these memories?

I am sorry. Optronix. Of course. [It's a sign of how distracted he is that he forgot this basic rule.]
I've been here for a year. [He sighs. It's a long story.] I don't imagine you've heard of Simultron. They create virtual reality entertainment. I was approached shortly after my arrival by the company to create a line of...well, entertainment based on historical events.
[He frowns. It is rather awkward to think of it as 'fun': Thunderwing, Arcee, Jhiaxus, any of it.]
My memories of those events, to be precise.
Downloading of memory is part of the process, an initial stage to sort through for sensory signifiers, and the like. Last night I had been [he drops his voice] beginning the download of Garrus 9.[He hopes you remember what he means.] When I arrive this morning, that data was missing.

Hey big guy! Where ya been?

I've been here? [Your question confuses him. Yes, he doesn't leave the lab a lot.]
I've been here for over an orbital cycle, Hot Rod.

You avoiding me or something? [Why would anyone do that?]
Reply
[Face it, Hot Rod: 'Nerd' isn't really your style.]
Can I...help you with something?
