[The feed clicks on to a face unfamiliar to most of Axiom Nexus. He's in a stark, industrial lab. Banks of ultra-speed processing computers surround him, blinking and humming. Behind him, a large logo on the wall reads 'Simultron: the Finest in Virtual Entertainment ( Read more... )

Eh, I dunno 'bout some of the others, I think that's from durin' their stay here, but th' ones I'm missing is from before I got here, yeah. [Or, not so much 'missing', as mockingly avoiding him.]

May I ask what they were of?

[Cliffjumper shrugs and flashes a brief grin. At least they weren't embarassing or anything, unless his completely inability to realize something had changed was embarrassing in itself.]

Sure, ain't anything classified. Before I came here I was in another dimension; seems like I... lost part of my paintjob when I went from my own to this other dimension, an' I can't actually remember what it was, exactly, an' I didn't notice it until I got here. [Cliffjumper tilts his head to consider the mech--- hey wait.]

Jetfire? [Of course, probably not the one he knew, but...]

Ah. So...tactically insignificant, would you say?

...

...another dimension before this one, you said. [No! No, Jetfire. Don't get distracted. This is important.]

[Blink.] Yes. Oh, yes. I'm Jetfire. [He forgets that he's been watching the network for almost a year, but has kept his silence until now.]

[Because now was really important.]

[He can't help but laugh, though it's kind of mixed with an inelegant snort.]

Very tactically insignificant. I assume by that th' ones you've... 'misplaced', ain't? [Cliffjumper frowns and tries to consider if there's anything else he's forgotten, but there is... nothing. Nothing besides something that's been annoying him for nearly a vorn, but that wasn't missing memories as something just not adding up.]

Uh, yeah. I seem to be in th' minority when it comes to have been somewhere not your home dimension before ya get here.

Probably not from mine, then, but it's nice to see ya. ... Correctly coloured an' all. [The last may have been muttered.]

[Sorry, Jetfire's kind of tactless. It's not that he doesn't care about your paintjob, it's just not world-threatening. ...he thinks.]

Oh, no. I'm afraid they're very dangerous, in the wrong hands. [So dangerous they had to be performed on a prison planet, actually. ]

Hrm.[In spite of himself, intrigued.]

There have been some...anomalies with the Dead Universe in my homeworld. Were you in space? Or did you encounter a pool? Was the portal obvious?

[It would be infinitely distressing to think that the Expansion was crossing to other universes as well.]

[He tilts his head.] ..thank you? I've always been colored this way, Cliffjumper. [It's a very-well educated guess.]

[Oh, he doesn't need to worry about 'tactless'; Cliffjumoper's not too concerned about the missing paintjob, exxcept insofar that he didn't notice.]

... Great. What, you just woke up one day an' they were gone? Or did somethin' happen?

[Cliffjumper stares for a few klicks, then shakes his helm slowly.]

Dead Universe? Nothin' I've heard about. I was on Earth, an' the portal was very obvious, since it was a space bridge one. A computer called th' Caretaker opened it... Either I was separated from the others in th' group because it was old and malfunctionin', or maybe I stuck my pedes where they didn't belong and mucked things up. [He shrugs. It's a pit of a trip, but he doesn't mind.]

Yeah, I know. It's just... [A pause to grimace.] Th' dimension I went to? A negative polarity one. Mirror dimension. Everyone'd different paintjobs. [He thinks you can deduce what the rest of 'mirror dimension' implicates.]

Oh, nothing like that. I had downloaded the memories off my internal system, to begin sorting them later and today when I arrived...those data storage units are gone.

So...it's partly my fault. [This is his srsly unhappy face.]

[Earth. Where had he heard that name? Ah. Regenesis. The files from Bludgeon.] A portal? And not a siege armature? [Either one was bad, but a Phased conquest at least meant Decepticons had some control.]

[Jetfire considers.] Ah. Theoretically plausible. I'd never actually encountered one, though. [And on the Calabi-Yau, they'd encountered a lot. ] It must have been...difficult to adjust.

[Video] rednotyellow July 14 2011, 21:19:30 UTC
You've got a thief, then. Someone who potentially knows there was something useful on those units. [Cliffjumper grimaces, because either way, that doesn't sound good. At least it seemed to have nothing to do with TransTech Shockwave and what was going on around here with missing time, memories and all sorts of scrap.]

[Cliffjumper tilts his head and wonders what Jetfire is thinking of, that those are his questions.] Nope. That computer was old, had nothin' to do with Decepticons or Autobots or whatever. More like to do with the first Thirteen. Th' transwarp portal the space bridge opened looked normal enough to me.

[There's a brief bark of laughter.] Difficult? I don't know 'bout you, but tryin' to learn that those you've considered enemies are suddenly th' good guys? Not easy, no. At the same time, easy when Megatron takes a shot meant for ya. [He shrugs a bit self-conciously, still uncomfortable with that, especially since he came to become familiar with the inverse Megatron.]

Yes, that's what I'm afraid of. And the implications, of being monitored so closely, are disturbing.

[And creepy.]

The Thirteen. [He's not much into how that area of 'history' verges into mysticism, but he's seen too much to really doubt. There may simply be things he does not yet understand.] It seems Earth is significant in both of our timestreams.

[He manages a smile.] I rather imagine it gave you some new perspective.

Well, either you've got a Soundwave on your tail, a Shockwave, or just some opportunistic glitch who probably works with ya, I'd say. [Cliffjumper shrugs, and rather hopes it's the latter of the three options; it seems the least likely to be potentially catastrophically harmful, even if he has no idea what, exactly, Jetfire has lost.]

Apparently I spent some time with some of the pieces of one of th' Thirteen, yeah. [Which was still just... incredible. Considering how all that turned out, he's almost glad he wasn't present for the Unicron (and Primus) stuff. Would probably have fried his poor processor.]

Enough that I'm still jumpin' here anytime I can't get a clear view of anyone's insignia. And purple is apparently the colour of evil. [Cliffjumper sounds amazingly straight-voiced when he says this, but there's a faint smirk on his faceplates. Not that it seems like an untrue observation, to him, but it's still funny.]

I can't find any of those options preferable. [And he's running through them from about 75 different angles.]

Some of the pieces? It sounds...fascinating. [You keep distracting him with tasty unknown things, Cliffjumper. ]....'apparently'?

Ah, well, yes. I imagine that would take a while to fade. [He'll filed that bit about purple away. Interesting.]It takes some mechs time to adjust to the fact that there is no war here, either.

[Video] rednotyellow July 14 2011, 22:54:42 UTC
Not really, no. Well, if ya find anythin' out an' can't get the authorities to be... concerned, I could always lend a servo. [Hope you're aware of what that help would entail, though, and that you want that sort of help. Aka; big guns. Cliffjumper doesn't do subtle.]

Five pieces, I only really met three of 'em for more than a few klicks. [Cliffjumper chuckles dryly and shrugs.] Well, not 'apparently', really, but sometimes it's hard to... But well, if five mechs're suddenly one an' answer to Nexus Prime and slaggin' ressurects and reformats a mech that was briefly dead? Have to trust somethin'. [No matter that he'd already believed in Primus (hard not to, what with past events), but this was the first crazy straight-up Primus-related things he'd had to deal with.]

Pfft. No war? Jetfire, what'd ya think politics is? [It just isn't Cliffjumper's preferred sort of war. Disgusting, really.]

lock

[Cliffjumper's a fellow Autobot. Jetfire will trust him this far.]

I am not sure getting our TransTech hosts involved is in anyone's best interests. I'd rather solve it on my own.

unlock

[He tilts his head.] Five mechs becoming one. [He frowns, shaking his head. No, he hoped this was nothing like Monstructor. ] I've seen mechs return from death. Or what we thought was death. They didn't last long.

[He shrugs.] That kind of war I am entirely ill-suited for. Even more than hot combat.

[Oh, so it's that (sort of) bad. Cliffjumper grimaces and then nods.]

Well, if ya need it... [He trails off, since he's already offered, and considering what Jetfire just implied, he'll not say anything else unlocked.]

Not like a combiner, though. They just... were separate people an' then there was only one mech. [Cliffjumper snorts and crosses his arms.] Both Megatron an' Starscream seem to be good at that, yeah, but few people get ressurrected by one of Primus' first... an' recieve visions from Primus durin' that.

You're not the only one, though actual combat is my sort of thing. [He grins a bit.]

[Jetfire is immensely relieved by the nod. His trust was not misplaced.]

So you have combiners in your world? And they're...not insane? [He wants one. The solution is there.]

...visions from Primus. [He can't help the dubiousness in his voice. This is not science.] What kind? Perhaps, some sort of hallucination...?
