I am officially one of the largest nerds alive. In an effort to save lives I have come up with a revolutionary alternative to war. Yes, you heard it, war.
This alternative is so amazingly simple, and so shocking, it is... well.. revolutionary!
Ok, so what'll happen is we'll create a massively multiplayer online game creatively titled, well, WAR!. Yes, that's right, we're going to replace real war, with a game! Imagine the lives saved!
Alright now then, whenever a nation or nations wish to go to war, they'll just need to speak to the game makers ( a conglomeration of square enix, bungie and blizzard of course since by the time this revolution comes to light these 3 will have eaten all the other gaming companies, nintendo will turn to making computers instead of trying to keep up with the gaming world ), upon speaking to the game makers a new server shall be made, upon the creation of this server, the leaders of the nations will decide on a proper battlefield while delegating ranks to their soldiers ( read players ). After all the neccessary redtape is cut and the papers all signed the server will become active at exactly a certain time. Everyone of the soldiers ( hahaha, 70% of them under 18! ) will log in and begin preparations for war. The battles will be long, and bloody, with many an afk and brb's. The japanese will be w w w ing at us while we scramble around like chickens with our heads cut off while they simply press their jp buttons and nukes randomly start popping in their spawn area. Whenever someone 'disconnects' they will be 'MIA - Assumed Pissed Off'.
However in the end this is a totally fair way to wage war, as all sides will have equal opportunities to succeed or fail ( well the japanese will usually be on top but the North Americans shall prevail because the japanese midnight is 11am est for us! Imagine that! We'll just pick em off while they're sleeping and just pop caffiene pills to run defense at night time!
Now, the real issue will be the Real Money Traders. Those chinese will start wars to make lots of money by gathering money in game and selling it to other nations for them to use against other nations starting more wars for the rmt's to gather more money to sell for money!
But in the end, the only lives lost will be those who become so addicted to the game they forget to eat or sleep. They'll be our suicide bombers, since they'll only be good for about 2-3 days before the die. I'm still positive however that this is a completely fair and just way to settle all the world's differences. What's that? You don't like the shape of my country on a map?! TO WAR! ( 32 years later ) DAMNIT! Redraw the borders, someone just hacked the server while the americans were in the lead.
