We've had a couple of nearly record-breaking days here - mild and warm.  By next week the temperature will have dropped 30 degrees and it'll rain, but for now it's great.

The weather has messed up my schedule.  I had to reschedule my acupuncture treatment, which meant I got the second stringer (my doc went out of town).  He also did my adjustment, and he doesn't do as good a job; he relies on his strength a bit much - I really need someone strong on technique, not force ( Read more... )

Interesting study linking alcoholism and the effect it can have on other family members physically.

Why does it affect women more than men?  Is it because our default comfort mode is food?

I was looking at knitting patterns.  Some of them had lovely designs, but the styling was boxy, dumpy, and boring.  I said it looked like the sort of thing middle-aged ladies would wear.

One of my friends looked at me and said, "You *are* a middle-aged lady."
